FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 28, 2024 – Randy Parker, CEO of Hyundai Motor America, has been recognized by Automotive News as a 2024 Champion of Diversity. Parker joins a select group of industry executives who have demonstrated their commitment to fostering a more inclusive workplace.
Parker, who has served as CEO since August 2022, is one of the first African American CEOs to lead a major automotive company. Under his leadership, Hyundai Motor America has made diversity and inclusion a priority through various initiatives aimed at supporting African American, Hispanic, Asian, female, millennial, disabled, veteran, and LGBTQ employees. His leadership style combined with focus on nurturing diverse talent across the organization through employee resource groups (ERGs) and mentoring programs also played a key role in boosting business outcomes and Hyundai Motor Group’s rise to become the U.S. market’s second-highest seller of electric vehicles (EVs).
