Hyundai Motor America PR Senior Manager Michele Tinson Receives NEMPA Camel’s Back Award


FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Aug 8, 2024 – Hyundai Motor America public relations senior manager, Michele Tinson, has been recognized by the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) with the group’s Camel’s Back Award. The annual award was presented at the media organization’s annual awards ceremony in Boston. The award highlights an automotive PR person, “who has consistently and with good humor and genuine helpfulness risen to NEMPA’s often untimely and burdensome requests, rather than allowing them to be the proverbial ‘straw that broke the camel’s back.”

In her role, Tinson serves Hyundai as a corporate spokesperson, adeptly managing relationships with media throughout the Midwest and Eastern U.S. Tinson has effectively executed regional media programs for new product launches and various safety initiatives. She has also effectively managed press-fleet loans to key media across her regions. Tinson’s strategic approach has been invaluable in securing earned-media placements for Hyundai’s product lineup. Tinson has been active in automotive PR for nearly thirty years, having spent the last seven years with Hyundai Motor America.
